poll numbers don't take a dive. as more dems eye next year's election what will happen to party unity. mike, what explanation did house dems give for voting in favor of the bill president obama threatened to veto. that happened last week. >> gretchen, 39 house democrats voted against their leadership which was saying that this bill would in effect destroy obama care, among them the likely democratic candidate for senate in iowa and michigan, won california house democrat explained his vote. >> the why i voted we want to give people individual choice. i'm inclined to think individuals are at best to decide what policy is best for them. again, this bill that we just voted on allows folks to have that choice. >> but, again, 39 house democrats voted for this bill after the president came out and offered an administrative fix last thursday and after the white house threatened to veto it. >> so is a democratic mutiny under way. >> there's certainly democratic heart burn among many lawmakers and concern about fixing aspects of this bill, of this law that are troubling their constituents. amo

to get to the two witnesses. it is about a three hour drive down. if you don't know, it is up stairs. downstairs is where people arrive. we were putting belongings onto the belt to be screened and we heard 8 shots ring out. we hit the deck and for about i don't know 15 seconds we were down and everybody started running down into the gates, the terminal there. tsa was running with us. as we were running, there were probably 15 to 20 shots that we heard shined behind us. we ran over towards terminal two under planes and so all of the people that were in line to be screened, we stormed through the security gates. that is breaching security too. we kept running away from the shots and we ducked into terminal two. scary moments here for sure at lax. >> i have been talking to mark and audrey while you have been on the air. you don't have your shoe. you are wearing only one shoe. >> i was at the screening area. i was putting my belongings in the tray i had one boot off and i put my boot in the tray and we fell to the floor and on top of each other. it was like a dream it wasn't real it was

that people don't continue to get heard across this country. what a difference a few weeks make. look at this fox news poll right now. last month republicans taking a hit over the partial shutdown. 43% of voters saying that they would back the republican candidate. total swing of 11 points last month. is that simply the debacle of obama care? it is also what they see as a lo lack of trust in this administration and that is unfortunate. because, the citizens need to have confidence. they need to have trust in their government and you have a president here who promised certain things. he promised if you liked your health insurance you could keep it period. he said that over and over and that trust has been broken and that is very unfortunate. i know you are weeks away from giving birth. i want to give you an early congratulations and i hope everything goes fine for you. >> thank you for being with us. >> we are still awaiting that meeting between the president and top executives. he is trying to convince them to work with him now. will he bring out the brass knuckles to bring them aroun

don't know what's better here, rich, for me. you can keep your job unless you're fired. you've got the president's people yesterday on the sunday talk shows saying, well, you can keep your plan unless it's been canceled. you've got a former speech writer for president bush saying this was premeditated deception. where do you fall? >> yeah, the last couple of weeks have been a catastrophe for the president's credit. and they reported that white house aides debated this line about whether -- how you can keep your insurance if you like it. and they said, wait a minute, we've got to nuance this at the least. and it's the political aides that insisted on a lack of nuance and maintained this stark line. to me, this is the smoking gun this was a deliberate deception. >> so back to him as a speech writer in a similar situation and what you're talking about says this. if the fact checkers told us it was inaccurate, we would either kill it or find another way to make the point accurately. was this all part of the oversimplification of the way in which this administration was so successful in

about democrats are going to be forced to put up a vote. i don't know what is going to happen this friday or in two weeks. we are learning day-by-day that the administration is going to make slow and steady progress. the bigger issue is what happened in the next six weeks where they no longer have the same insurance policies that they had before. are ne going to get new policies or are there going to be millions of people out hillbe oh insurance. we have to make sure that folks arou aren't left out in the cold. they seem to vary on whether or not that can be done in a quick fashion. let me move onto the number of people that are signing up. are they going to tell us an age break down. one said they estimate meeting 2.5 million people under the age of 85 to make it work. so brad, they want 7 million by the end of march and 2.5 million of those have to be between the age of 18 and 35 and those people aren't working when they get out of college and can't afford health care. >> and their parents are going to cut them a check for $95 stofor the fine. when social security was founde
